Cookie Policy

The Borgo19.com website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the correct functioning of procedures and improve the user experience of online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by Borgo19.com, and how to manage them.

Definitions

Cookies are short text fragments (letters and/or numbers) that allow the webserver to store on the client (the browser) information to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone).

Similar technologies, such as, for example, web beacons, transparent GIFs, and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behavior and use of services.

In the remainder of this document, we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies by simply using the term "cookies".

Types of cookies

Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies we can distinguish different categories:

Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the Borgo19.com site and are used to manage the login and access to restricted functions of the site. The duration of cookies is strictly limited to the work session (when the browser is closed they are deleted), except for session cookies where longer cookies are used (expiring in 30 days) aimed at recognizing, for this limited period, the visitor's computer - through an alpha-numeric code generated at the first access session - in order to propose the automatic login. Their deactivation compromises the use of services accessible by login. The public part of the site Borgo19.com remains normally usable.

Analysis and performance cookies. These are cookies used to collect and analyze traffic and use of the site in an anonymous way. These cookies, while not identifying the user, allow, for example, to detect if the same user returns to log on at different times. They also make it possible to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. The deactivation of these cookies can be performed without any loss of functionality.

Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously and not) the user's preferences and improve their browsing experience. The site Borgo19.com does not use cookies of this type.

Third-party cookies

Visiting a website you can receive cookies both from the site visited ("owners") and from sites operated by other organizations ("third parties"). A notable example is the presence of "social plugins" for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn. These are parts of the visited page generated directly by these sites and integrated into the page of the host site. The most common use of social plugins is to share content on social networks.

The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies from and to all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by the relevant information to which please refer. In order to ensure greater transparency and convenience, below are the web addresses of the various policies and procedures for managing cookies.

Duration of cookies

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until you close your browser or run the logout command. Other cookies "survive" when the browser is closed and are available on subsequent visits by the user.

These cookies are called persistent and their duration is fixed by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases an expiry date is fixed, in other cases the duration is unlimited.

Borgo19.com, with the exception of confirmation of the use of cookies, in relation to which information is stored solely for technical purposes, does not use persistent cookies.

However, browsing the pages of the Borgo19.com website, you can interact with sites operated by third parties who may create or modify persistent and profiling cookies.

Cookies management

The user can decide whether or not to accept cookies using the settings on your browser.

Attention: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies may compromise the use of the site features reserved for registered users. On the contrary, the usability of public content is possible even if cookies are completely disabled.

The disabling of "third-party" cookies does not affect in any way the navigability.

The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. In addition, the best browsers allow you to define different settings for "proprietary" and "third-party" cookies.

As an example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options->Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether or not to accept different types of cookies and proceed to their removal.
